Bourbon BBQ Sauce



  • 2 C ketchup
  • 1/2 C mild-flavored (light) molasses
  • 1/3 C bourbon
  • 1/4 C Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons Hot Sauce (use your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (smoked paprika is a fun twist)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste

Combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered until sauce thickens and flavors blend, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes. Cool completely before sealing and storing in the cooler. Can make 1 week ahead.
