A lovely cocktail from the “sour family”, the Aviation was created in the early 1900s by a NY city bartender. For many years it was made without the Crème de Violette, but now that it is available again, this cocktail has made a resurgence in its original form.
- 2 oz Gin
- .5 oz Luxardo Marischino Liqueur
- .5 oz fresh lemon juice
- .25 oz Crème de Violette
Combine all ingredients with ice and shake. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. No garnish.
