Wine pairing with Vegetarian Fare!

by Cindy Caminite

I have enjoyed a vegetarian diet for 25 years and have been enjoying wine for just as long. Read about wine pairing and it is most always pairing with meat, fowl or the other white meat, pasta with meat, sausage, chicken salad, etc.

Summer barbeque for vegetarians often befuddles meat eaters. I arrive with a few marinated portabella mushrooms; there is usually an adventurous meat eater or another vegetarian among the guests. Barbeque the mushrooms, add the bun, a slice of heirloom tomato, spring greens, and your favorite burger fixings to enjoy a two-handed mushroom burger with the carnivorous guests.

Think Accessories

by Cindy Caminite

Think accessories! It is all about the accessories!

Cork pullers, wine racks, decanters, shakers, flasks, and muddlers

Stuck for a gift for the wine fanatic, the whiskey sipper, or the vodka devotee? Wine racks, totes and bags, corkscrews, stoppers and pourers, glassware and decanters, wine tags, and stem tags…shakers and flasks, juicers reamers and zesters, muddlers and mallets, stirrers, straws and drink coolers…

Accessories have captured the limelight paralleling the latest Bordeaux, single barrel malt, or flavored spirit. I imagine the two most widely known and recognized accessories are the cork puller and the bartender’s shaker.
