Great Wines Under $15 - July Edition 2009

Hi all! Although we are officially in the "dog days of summer", we are
so blessed here in Austin, Texas! We have Barton Springs Pool, Krause
Springs (where you can bring wine with your picnic), plus a lot of free
outdoor concerts. We also are only about an hour away from several wineries, how cool is that?
Can't afford to go to Napa or Sonoma this summer?

I recommend venturing to the beautiful Hill Country and checking out some of
our highly acclaimed wineries. I happened upon an excellent website
(www.texaswinetrail.com/wineries.html), which lists all of the Hill Country
vineyards alphabetically, with links to their websites. This is an easy way
to find out specifics of tasting hours, prices of samples, upcoming events
and most important; directions. One good reason to visit a vineyard is that
you can sample (and/or purchase) a wine that is sold exclusively at the
vineyard. It may be a bit warm, but just envision yourself on the shady
veranda overlooking Becker Vineyards, sipping a glass of chilled
